Hunt’s Church Preschool’s ultimate educational goal is to prepare your child for the next level of education at the school of your choice.  We do this partly by providing a dynamic, integrated curriculum that nurtures and builds upon your child’s natural curiosity and love of learning.  We will be using one of two major types of curriculum.

“Explode the Code” is a systematic, sequential, and explicit phonics program in which students blend sounds to build vocabulary and read words.  This teaches basic phonics for early readers.  It also helps children learn to read by teaching them to use the sounds of letters.  In a carefully sequenced program, a variety of exercises provides experience recognizing and combining sounds in order to read words, phrases, sentences, and stories, as well as to build vocabulary.

Weekday Early Education is a place where you will find our teachers providing an environment of care for your child. Your child is special! We want him/her to discover ways that God has made him/her unique. We want to be successful in helping your child develop in all areas: social, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual. We try to meet the needs of your child by using methods appropriate for his/her age ability. These will be positive learning experiences for your child.
